A long-awaited entry from my dessert journal – This cake is proof that simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. It’s incredibly easy to whip up and even easier to finish! A must-try for anyone who loves a fuss-free bake.
Ingredients
1/2cupghee (melted)
1/4cupgranulated sugar
1/2cup brown sugar
3large bananas
1cupwhole wheat flour
1/2cupmaida
1tspbaking soda
1tspbaking powder
Pinch salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2cupchocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat oven to 180º.
Grease a loaf tin with butter.
In a mixing bowl mash bananas well.
Add ghee, both sugars, vanilla. Combine well.
Then sift in the flours, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Add chocolate chips.
Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf tin.
Top chocolate chips.
Bake at 180Cº for approximately 30-35 minutes, or until done (toothpick inserted should come out clean).
Let cool a bit & then transfer onto a wire rack.
Slice & serve.
Notes:
Can also add chopped walnuts into the batter or as topping.
