The rains pouring outside is a relief after the unbearable heat! There is something soothing about the soft spluttering of the rains & makes me all dreamy! The trees are all so much greener, the birds chirpier & happier and the smell of freshness in the air is intoxicating. Reading a good book & having some crispy pakoras are all I want to usually do the whole day when it pours outside..!
There are many reasons to love chocolate. Our love for it has made them find their way into confectioneries, desserts, drinks, pastries, soups and some savories even. ‘Chocolate’ come under those ‘beloved’ food categories. Most of us adore it. Have it daily or pretty often. Crave for it regularly. Savor the heavenly taste as it coats the tongue. Having chocolates makes us happy, scientifically proven they say. They also say chocolate,the dark variety is good for the heart. True or not, I would not want to prove it wrong. I prefer to believe in them always and each time I bite into one. Makes me less guilty having them! No doubt chocolates come with calories. They are ‘bittersweet’ treat, right?!
And lastly, you don`t need many excuses to indulge in chocolates. You love it, and that`s all it takes to dive into world of chocolates!
Here is a recipe for a simple & yummilicious dessert – ‘Fruit Trifle’. I don`t think Trifle requires much introduction as it is sure to be prepared in most homes. But there are endless variations to this and here is one version. Add or delete ingredients as per your taste, only your creativity is the limit!

Eat healthy food for good health. Eat nutritious food. Have regular meals. All these and more we hear day in day out for good health. Feed your stomach with good food to live a healthy life. And all this time we are focussing on feeding our stomach but there is more to be done for a healthy living.
This is something I learnt yesterday. It is something I knew, we all know it well actually. But choose to not give it enough precedence. In our fast paced and competitive daily lifestyle little things that matter a lot in the long run are put aside and forgotten. And then we move on, picking along the way fear, negative thinking, jealousy and so on. At the end of it all even after a healthy diet we still feel we are lacking in something.
The texture is quite soft yet firm. The smooth texture comes from the fruit and the firmness from the oats and bread crumbs. The brown sugar topping gives a nice crunch as you bite into this deliciously healthy pudding!
Mango can be replaced with apples, strawberries etc (see notes). Serve it hot or cold with some ice cream or homemade mango sauce, as per the season. Have it for breakfast, lunch or dinner. This is an all season and any time dessert!
Craving for something sweet & intoxicating to cheer up. Now people often do find themselves in this situation.
