Mint Choco Chip Ice cream

And Basic Vanilla Ice cream

The rains pouring outside is a relief after the unbearable heat! There is something soothing about the soft spluttering of the rains & makes me all dreamy! The trees are all so much greener, the birds chirpier & happier and the smell of freshness in the air is intoxicating. Reading a good book & having some crispy pakoras are all I want to usually do the whole day when it pours outside..!

There are many reasons to love chocolate. Our love for it has made them find their way into confectioneries, desserts, drinks, pastries, soups and some savories even. ‘Chocolate’ come under those ‘beloved’ food categories. Most of us adore it. Have it daily or pretty often. Crave for it regularly. Savor the heavenly taste as it coats the tongue. Having chocolates makes us happy, scientifically proven they say. They also say chocolate, the dark variety is good for the heart. True or not, I would not want to prove it wrong. I prefer to believe in them always and each time I bite into one. Fruit Crumble

“Happiness, contentment, the health and growth of the soul, depend, as men have proved over and over again, upon some simple issue, some single turning of the soul.”

~ George A. Smith

“To enjoy good health, to bring true happiness to one’s family, to bring peace to all, one must first discipline and control one’s own mind. If a man can control his mind he can find the way to Enlightenment, and all wisdom and virtue will naturally come to him.”

~ Buddha

Eat healthy food for good health. Eat nutritious food. Have regular meals. All these and more we hear day in day out for good health. Feed your stomach with good food to live a healthy life. And all this time we are focussing on feeding our stomach but there is more to be done for a healthy living.

This is something I learnt yesterday. It is something I knew, we all know it well actually. But choose to not give it enough precedence. In our fast paced and competitive daily lifestyle little things that matter a lot in the long run are put aside and forgotten. And then we move on, picking along the way fear, negative thinking, jealousy and so on. At the end of it all even after a healthy diet we still feel we are lacking in something.

Strawberry & Apple Crumble

I love crumble, for its simplicity & versatility..It can be made with any of your favorite fruit or a combination of fruits..Another thing I love about crumbles is that you don`t have to wait for it to chill or set..Just mix `em, bake `em & eat `em!!

Mango & Oat Pudding

Make the most of this mango season! Another mango recipe – this time a healthy pudding..
Here is a pudding that is loaded with deliciousness and is healthy! Never thought a pudding could be made so quickly and at the same time yields an immensely satisfying dessert. And there is no need to wait for it to cool down and set for hours in the refrigerator. Just mix the ingredients, micro and then simply dig in!

The texture is quite soft yet firm. The smooth texture comes from the fruit and the firmness from the oats and bread crumbs. The brown sugar topping gives a nice crunch as you bite into this deliciously healthy pudding!

Mango can be replaced with apples, strawberries etc (see notes). Serve it hot or cold with some ice cream or homemade mango sauce, as per the season. Have it for breakfast, lunch or dinner. This is an all season and any time dessert!

Its time for her to face another day clicking, typing, text-ing, browsing etc etc. The coffee maker awaits its turn to start off the day as it whirs up her first mug of coffee for the day. The taste of the hot, bitter coffee awakens her and she is now ready to kickstart her day. A quick and short breakfast follows and then she rushes off to check her emails and messages. And as the day progresses more and more gadgets and gizmos await their turn to rule over her routine.
